I first met Beth in 2012 during yoga teacher training. Beth was such a warm and comforting person, and we hit it off immediately. She was so easy to talk to and I felt like I had known her for years. Fast forward a couple of years and she became my mom role model. She parented her children in the same way I was parenting mine, and I because her kids were older, I felt like I could see the results of what we were doing. There have been so many times where I felt like such an oddball in how I approached motherhood, and she was someone I could turn to when overwhelmed. Also encouraging is the fact that both of her daughters are bright, successful, driven, well adjusted, I can go on and on. I photographer Morgan a couple of years ago and dropped the ball on blogging that session. So, that may be coming up in the next few weeks (yay for being a successful entrepreneur). Anyway, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share these images of Anna, which I am labeling Urbans Florals. Anna, styled herself, so I can’t take credit for that at all. But we had fun walking around downtown Greenville, capturing moments in some of my favorites places. My favorite moments were when Anna played her guitar. I love watching creatives work in their space because you can see the connection to what exists within. The walls come down and we get a glimpse into the soul. I appreciate that Anna let me capture that piece of her and of course, those pictures were my absolute favorites. Thank you Anna, for allowing me to capture this special moment in your life. As you venture off to USC to study chemistry, just know that you are enough, you are beautiful both inside and out, and though this life will take you so many places, you are only obligated to honor yourself. So my hope for you is that you let go of the need to please others, and that you follow your curiosity as it takes through this crazy life.
