In July, we took a trip with my parents to Myrtle Beach, SC. Myrtle Beach invokes a nostalgia in me, and probably many other South Carolinians. The reality of what it is today is so different than it was growing up, but it still brings back memories of sunburns, sand in my crotch, nights at the Pavillion, and Wings (the store, not the food group). I couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment sharing this place with my children. If you’re not from South Carolina, you’ll never really know what I mean, but doesn’t that make it even more special? Here are some of my favorite pictures from the trip.
