Thanks to everyone who completed my survey, Your feedback is really helpful. I’m going to be making some major changes over the next couple of weeks, but I’ll talk about that a little later. The winner of the survey contest is Corey Gilbreath!! Thanks Corey for participating! You’re the bomb!!
Now, on to photography week. If you’ve been reading my blog or you’re someone in my life, you know that I’ve been studying photography for the past couple of years. I handle all of the photography on my blog and as I’ve grown, I’ve been getting more inquiries into family sessions. As I do that, I realize how much I enjoy working with these families and creating memories for them. I also really love photography and feel gratitude that I am finally able to express myself creatively in a way I never knew I could.
I’ve decided that I’m going to launch my new photography business and website in 2017. E and A Images will specialize in family portraiture, fine art portraiture, real estate, and website/product photography. Those seem like an odd combination but I’m already doing all of those so it feels natural to continue on that path.
I will continue with my styling business but there will be some changes coming here as well. I’m making changes to my website and changes to my focus. I may not be blogging as consistently as I get these things up and running, but I’ve got some things in the works so look for that!!
Ultimately, what I really want is to blend my talents together, styling and photography, and so, now is the time to figure out how to develop my vision and make it a reality.
I am grateful to all of you who continue to follow me, read my blog, comment, and support my efforts in general. Y’all are awesome.
My husband also has some fun things in the works. As many of you know, he built a successful tree business from the ground up. He continues to do that work and recently bought a piece of property for Carolina Tree Co.
With having that land, he bought a sawmill and is beginning to follow his dreams of building furniture. He’s built a beautiful dining room table for our home as well as two bar tops that we use in the kitchen and the bathroom.
He’s very proud of his 2 x 4’s.
So be on the lookout for his new website as well! Great things are coming for the Matts in 2017.
What do y’all have planned? Anything new and exciting for 2017?
