I first met Jennifer at a blogging meet up group approximately 6-8 years ago. She was very welcoming and I was socially anxious so she made me feel at ease. Through the years, we have kept in touch via instagram and I feel lucky to have such an intelligent and knowledgable internet friend who happens to also live near me. When she reached out to me for a family portrait lifestyle session, I immediately said yes. It was serendipitous as I had been playing around with the idea of taking clients again, and her request pushed me in that direction.
We walked around the farm, focusing on capturing that beautiful golden hour son. I wanted to do a mix of portraits and more candid shots, so Jennifer and her family appeased me as I said corny things to make them laugh. Of course, I asked her son to give hers lots of hugs and kisses, and as is the case of any 13 year old, he was reluctantly willing. What I did observe was that they obvious have a wonderful and close relationship. That is evident in the images.
