Sometimes, we need a little something to break us out of a rut. The fall is especially busy and leaves little room for creativity. As I mentioned in this post, I try to schedule time for myself to be creative because it is such an important part of my mental health. Appointments are abundant in our family nowadays and I hadn’t picked up my camera for weeks. I felt uninspired.

I stumbled upon an opportunity to buy a new mirrorless camera and lenses when my friend decided to sell it. I have been wanting a mirrorless for a while. WIth the camera came a Lensbaby – the Lensbaby trio – and I was doubly excited because I have wanted one for so long. It finally arrived and it did not disappoint. I felt so inspired taking images with the trio that it got me back into daily shooting. I decided to buy a composer pro with the sweet 50 to add to that collection and again, it inspired me even more. Sometimes, it takes something outside of myself to get me motivated. I will sign up for a workshop, or in this instance, get a new camera! Obviously that is not something that can happen every time, but I do feel that Lensbaby is very affordable and there are so many options to change up one’s shooting.
