I’m very excited to show y’all what I’ve been doing with Miracle Hill over the past couple of weeks!!! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen me post some images of clothes as well as posting some stories showing me working with Jennifer from Miracle Hill. They’ve collaborated with several style bloggers in the Greenville area to take part in the #45dollarchallenge as part of their #thriftsavvy campaign. Miracle Hill Thrift Stores offered several stylists, including me, $45 to shop at their thrift stores and find as many fall outfits as possible.

Blue Corduroy Midi Skirt - Thrift Store Finds

I bought this entire outfit at Miracle Hill Thrift Stores on Pleasantburg Dr. It’s a dress, a blue corduroy midi skirt and platform heels. Here, I’m also wearing a teal bracelet which I got there as well. The whole outfit cost around $17.

I’m just going to go ahead and say I feel much more comfortable behind the camera instead of in front of it. I also took these pictures myself, with a 1 year old who kept escaping to the front yard, so yeah…

#45DollarChallenge with Miracle Hill Thrift Stores

I bought everything except for the shoes at MHTS. The total outfit, including jewelry, was $12. I bought the shoes at Target for $35.

Because my whole deal is the capsule wardrobe, I tried to do the same thing here. I bought pieces that all go together and used them to create a variety of fall looks. This outfit cost $10 (minus the shoes – these are the same ones as above).

#45DollarChallenge Thrift Store Finds

Jennifer from Miracle Hill met me at Greer City Park one day to record a video (which you’ll see on social media soon) of the different outfits I bought. I actually didn’t use this one because I was worried the dress was too short, but for pictures, I thought it looked cute. I think I’ll probably pair this with some leggings just to make sure I don’t flash anyone when I pick up Alex.

Miracle Hill Thrift Stores $45 Challenge

This was such a fun challenge. Overall, with $45, I bought:

  • 2 dresses
  • 1 corduroy skirt
  • 1 pair of flare jeans
  • 1 tank
  • 1 blouse
  • 2 sweaters

to make a total of 7 outfits (that’s all together – If I’m allowed to add from my existing wardrobe, I would obviously have more). Y’all know I don’t typically shop at a thrift store, so I was kind of worried. I walked into the store and looked around, a little in a panic because I wanted to keep my own style. I found some super cute stuff there. Who knew??

I didn’t take pictures of all of the outfits because Alex just wasn’t having it. I almost lost him with the last dress, but I figured you had enough examples to see how I did. For more information on the #45dollarchallenge, watch Studio 62 on Thursday, sometime after 10:30 am. We’ll also be at the Miracle Hill Thrift Store this Saturday for a grand re-opening of the Powdersville location. Different style bloggers from the upstate will be helping people shop. There will also be a couple of fashion shows, so come check it out!
